A Gum Evaluation

The only way to know if you have a gum disease

During the gum evaluation, a small measuring probe will be placed between your gum and tooth to assess your periodontal health. X-rays will be taken to observe the health of the bone below your gums.
Once this has been accomplished you will be informed of your periodontal health status.  If therapy is required the necessary treatments will be explained to you.
If you do not have a periodontist and your check-ups are done by a family dentist, make sure you ask about the status of your gum tissues.
